Green Jobs for a Green Future

It's going to be a lot of work for society to switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Transitioning to green energy means job creation. In communities around the country it's already happening on a small scale — imagine how many millions of jobs a worldwide switch to renewables would create.

From the Rising Sun Energy Center in California to the Kibera Youth Community Programme in Kenya to the  Energy and Resources Institute in India, green-jobs programs for youth are proliferating and succeeding around the world. 

We know that we need to switch to renewable energy. And we know that the switch creates new jobs. We just need to do it on a larger scale.

David, I think this is great how you've identified new employment opportunities in the growing green energy industry. This is especially relevant when we consider how other research posts have revealed that millennials want to pursue careers with a good cause. It would also be interesting to identify some other socially impactful industries that might peak the interests of young generations!
