BagoSphere: Innovative vocational training for high school graduates

From "Unlike other BPO vocational training programs, BagoSphere’s curriculum is designed for youths with at least a high school diploma. 70% of our students are high school graduates. Our experience has shown us that after 2 months, you will transform into a skilled communicator and become highly desired by the BPO industry in the Philippines." While doing research for innovative training programs in the Philippines, we discovered that BagoSphere has the most effective placement program so far--trainees are successfully placed in business process outsourcing companies.

Their training program has also addressed specific skill gaps among young Filipinos including communication skills and critical thinking.

They operate in Bago City, Negros Oriental which means that the business model can work in areas outside the urban centers of Manila.

Karl, thanks for the post! What I love about it is that it is a concrete example of connecting in so many ways. When we think of Business Process Outsourcing - after Googling it - we think of big companies in the US or Europe hiring big shops in India or the like, in urban centers. But this goes deep. The possibility of training youth in rural areas to complete tasks formerly done by people in offices in major corporations is true globalization - for the better. If the links are made, one really can connect across continents and create jobs anywhere.
