The e-hub is based on the idea of sharing innovative youth entrepreneurship practices. The e-hub project gathers and analyzes data to compare youth entreprenuerial environments and activities across different regions. It illustrates and communicates existing initiatives, learning programs, and public policies that have the potential to foster youth entrepreneurship and better prepare young people for the challenging labor market conditions in many countries around the world. It also allows countries to compare their entrepreneurial environment with other countries and strive to improve it.

Who does this idea benefit, who are the main players and what's in it for them?

The goal is to provide an objective basis for understanding and improving the regulatory and educational environment to foster youth entrepreneurship and innnovation around the world. International organizations, such as the World Bank, or World Economic Forum might be intersted to get involved and measure the areas which facilitate or hinder youth creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. The hub will be an open source platform.

How is your idea specifically increasing access to employment opportunities and pathways for young people?

The idea will allow young people, employers, and policy makers to access the available public and private youth entrepreneurship initiatives around the world. The aim is to exemplify best practices in educating and encouraging youth on becoming entrepreneurs and innovators. It will also encourage countries to compete towards more efficient and coducive regulations and education that encourage youth entrepreneurship.

What early, lightweight experiment can you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

There are a number of very successful projects around the world which provide comprehensive measures for business regulation, innovation, competitiveness. For example, INSEAD's Global Talent Competitiveness Index. The e-hub will focus particularly on youth entrepreneurship and measures how conducive is the regulatory and educational environment for youth to become entreprenuers.

What skills, input or guidance are you keen to receive from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea further?
