Start with Schools

Making education on importance/responsibility of respecting women's personal rights a compulsory part of all core school/uni curriculum. Promoting empathy for both the sexes without straddling into moral policing or the broader sexism issues. Research shows that it works.

The idea builds from this research -  http://www.sparksummit.com/2013/04/10/research-blog-teaching-men-rape-prevention-actually-works/  and from other contributions.

There is a lot of noise raised about what is being taught/not-taught (religion, versions of history, political views) in schools. Our moral values are shaped in part by the influence of our peer groups and especially in the highly impressionable school/university years. If we can raise awareness on the moral imperative of all males to respect their female counterparts during these impressionable years, it can have a longer real-term impact than ad-hoc women empowerment measures. We could do it in many ways - from formal classes to play periods to arts classes.
