People need to recognize and give space women's voice so that they can work for their own economic freedom being self-reliant!
While I visited a downtown area of my city a few days ago, I came across the story of Rabeya- A 18 year old housewife who was controlled and restricted from participating in an Income Generating Program of a non-government organization. The man did this just for the lack of sensitivity towards his wife and also for his insufficient knowledge about gender discrimination arising from society.
When the NGO official first told me about the case that Rabeya had been inhibited from working in a Tailors' shop, I readily understood the reason. I visited their house and probed the real facts. Women's access to resources and economic activities is still a matter of grave concern for the country's Gender activists. This in turn make me think of some ways or strategies through which we can change the scenario.
