Finding Healthcare in a Group

This article talks about holding regular doctors appointments, in groups. The idea behind this practice is power of stories. Consider the idea of support groups and doctors appointments combined. Patients are receiving the regular attention they would during a check-up but have the opportunity to ask questions and talk about challenges that others, in their same position, are facing. This article focuses on Centering Pregnancy, so holding pregnancy check-ups in groups. But the basic idea is the power of community. I think this can translate over to many areas of empowering women in low-income communities.
