Female only passenger trains

In Egypt, Brazil, Japan and India, among other countries, female-only carriages are provided on public transport. This is to prevent lewd behaviour and groping that is often experienced by women in these situations. Providing safe transit for women empowers them to travel independently to work or education without the fear of assault or harassment and improves independence.
