Walking Meetings

Get up and walk outside or around the office for a few meetings a week. This works well if the meeting is with just one co-worker. With blood pumping let the ideas flow and problems solved.

Excellent idea Courtney! Another benefit: walking side-by-side promotes a sense of collaboration--participation in a common goal. A complete contrast to the typical meeting where you're sitting directly across the table from your colleague, in an oppositional orientation.

NPR has a great piece on how Kaiser has committed to walking meetings: http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2012/05/07/152157560/is-it-possible-to-walk-and-work-at-the-same-time
