A separate elevated office space made for standing, walking and thinking on your feet.
A designated office area without chairs, and utilizing standing height desks, leaning seats and whiteboards. Thisis essentially a space that will encourage you to work out new solutions and ideas while moving around on your feet. The interior gimmick can be applied to a separate space, so that we don't have to entirely overhaul the work experience.
What are the benefits of your concept for the individual and the employer?
The benefits can be seen in higher levels of oxygen flow, keeping you awake and encouraging movement of the body, since that is what we are designed for. I can easily see this as somewhat of a solution to stress, neck- and backpains.
How might your concept be designed to scale and spread to reach as many people as possible?
This is essentially an idea for work environments that are based around seating and working at desks, There will like most things in life, be those few who tries "outside the box" ideas, and if there is proven result it wouldn't be too hard to adopt into a greater scale.
How might you design a small experiment around your concept that would mobilise action?
a small experiment could easily be assembled by a group of people trying to work in two different envronments, a traditional one, and one that has a walking area, and from that see how well the people feel, and see the difference in contribution compared to hours laid into it.
