This concept is a way for people who want to do a craft during lunch breaks and/or after hours and have classes(selected days), and a way to reduce stress by taking their minds off work for a while, and be bale to interact with new people, and increase their social and mental health.

What are the benefits of your concept for the individual and the employer?

Benefits for the employees are;
-It would allow for employees to relief stress by being able to paint, draw, wood working etc.
-Allows for employees to be able to meet and interact with new people.
Employees get a mental boost from being able to relax and not being distracted by stress and frustration.
-Increased Social and mental health
Benefits for the employer are;
-A better working environment as people are more social with one another.
-employees are more focused

What might the impact of your concept be and how might it be measured?

The biggest impact of this concept would be that there would be an increase in productivity, increase in social health, and less stressed employees. And as stress can cause bad health risks such as headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems. This could be tested to see is the number of people with fewer sick days, or less people with symptoms linked with stress.

How might your concept be designed to scale and spread to reach as many people as possible?

In large work areas with multiple floors there could be one communal area for employees to go and use these rooms with the crafts, after hours and in lunch period to wind down.And in smaller work spaces there could be a similar large area with small areas to within the space to go and use for different crafts.
There could be a control test of the productivity of employees and their quality of work done in the normal working environment, and the same productivity tests after the play/relax room has be implemented to see for a change in the rates of work.

How might you design a small experiment around your concept that would mobilise action?

Getting a base line on the test, and see the normal work rates, productivity, amount and quality of the work produced. Then one small area within a workspace chosen at random that could be redesigned to the concept of the fun room, and have a small group of people from departments or crews participating and using the room.

Good concept! This would be a great way for employees to relieve stress and spur social interaction between co-workers, leading to a more positive productive workforce. Great idea.
