When the OpenIDEO team was at the European Commission's Digital Agenda Assembly earlier this summer, our own Tom Hulme was pulled aside to answer a few questions on the state of web start-ups in Europe and the opportunities to help them launch and grow, based on what we learned during the challenge.

In this video, Tom highlights the key start-up opportunities we uncovered during the challenge, namely:

  • positive cultural reinforcement
  • attracting and retaining talent
  • securing funding and incentives
  • support for understanding the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Tom shares why these areas are important and some of the ideas the community came up with to address them. The video is now being used to raise awareness of these issues within the European Community.

We're excited to play a part in helping to bring an entrepreneur's perspective to the conversation. Stay tuned for more Realisation updates!
