MEST is an Africa initiative of the Norway-founded Meltwater Group. It provides training and mentoring for aspiring African software entrepreneurs with the goal of creating wealth and jobs locally in Africa. Established in Accra, Ghana, in 2008, MEST is a not-for-profit NGO that is funded by the Meltwater Group through its non-profit Meltwater Foundation. The Meltwater Foundation offers a three-phase entrepreneurial program designed to foster the growth of software companies in Africa.
