*iHub_ is Nairobi’s innovation hub for the technology community is an open space for the technologists, investors, tech companies and hackers in the area. Focusing on young entrepreneurs, web and mobile phone programmers, designers and researchers, it is part open community workspace (co-working), part vector for investors and VCs and part incubator.

*iHub_ research is exploring what makes these hubs work…and not work, asking "What factors need to be in place to have a tech community flourish with a couple of inputs? What are hubs around Africa doing right? What do they still need to keep working on? What can they learn from each other?" Their report on the key factors in their model is the first in this series.
