Being aware of peaks and troughs

Paul Graham’s (founder of Y Combinator) “start-up curve” is a lovely indication of what start-ups face as they get started. Simply knowing what is ahead is helpful for web entrepreneurs.

The “start-up curve” helps web entrepreneurs have a sense of what's ahead, so that they can be prepared and know they're not alone in going through peaks and troughs.

How else might we help web start-ups survive the emotional roller coaster that is starting a company?

Very nice Amy. The visual is great and I think being aware of what is ahead can help manage (at least partially) the emotional roller coaster that is starting a company?
Yet, there might be more than awareness: coaching, story telling, mapping your own journey on this visual (to help awareness), etc.? Looking forward to what will come up in concepting.

I love the visual approach to understanding the highs and lows of a business. The graph really brings to life the necessesity of reaching high!
