As the co-founder of DirtyHands( a startup- http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dirty-Hands/196913180332560 ) we have been using all these online portals to upload our portfolio, project details and get feedback and even client's enquiry internationally.
Similarly another initiative Swaraaj http://www.facebook.com/swaraaj.co.in has been reaching out to music lover on social media.
As a start while we are juggling with too many variants and constraints, being able to attract business without spending is a great deal as seen from my own experience and few more parallel around.
