Virtual Hackathon

What would it look like to hold a hackathon virtually on the web?

Inspired by Paul Frigout, I wonder if there's opportunity to create a new web platform that enables Hackathons to take place virtually.

On the platform, anyone can startup a Virtual Hackathon page, name a topic/brief, invite friends, set a date.

On the appointed time, the page can enable a Google Hangout and allow people to chat and hack together.

How will your concept support web entrepreneurship?

Bringing the atmosphere of Hackathons to more people across many countries.

What kinds of resources will be needed to get this concept off the ground and scale it?

It's a web platform that needs backend and front-end development, perhaps funding from a seed fund.

How could we get started?
