Converging Virtual and Physical Networks: A European Association of Web Entrepreneurs

The E.C. would create an association which would leverage both a virtual and physical network. An annual conference would be supported by a virtual network to allow the development of robust entrepreneur, supporter, and celebrity relationships.

The idea is to use a two-sided approach to solving the problem. We propose both a virtual and physical networking plan which incorporates social networking and physical conferences to allow entrepreneurs to meet. This will facilitate the desire to both start (at the conference) and maintain a network (on a virtual platform). This type of peer-to-peer exchange will allow people to trade relevant skills, resources, and information about web entrepreneurship.

This idea was developed at the Yale Hackathon.

Like other comments, it is a nice way to introduce the entrepreneurs to each other initially as they continue their dialogue digitally later on. Rather than emphasizing peer-to-peer exchange, these entrepreneurs can help each other using different skills -- cool concept!
