The project aims to strengthen the resilience of farmers in rain-fed agricultural areas by making them partners and helping them adopt to newer climate smart practices by effective utilisation and conservation of watersheds .The major activities for this project are
Baseline Survey : Discussions with village community members and groups to understand their perception on the relationship between land, crops and water conservation and their current prevailing practices.
Using Alternate source of Data which includes past weather trends and satellite imagery to build models of correlation and find gaps and solutions.
Compilation of information as a climate resilient practice which can be implemented along with the farmers and other consultants/Project coordinators for 1-3 years showcasing the impact of the climate resilient practices and the overall effect on the ecosystem.
Decision support tool - Mobile apps for field team , farmer Apps , Web and Analytics to continuously monitor project and observe the impact on real time which making corrections on the go.
Overall impact : Farmer sustainability around the watersheds through efficient adoption of climate smart agriculture.
