The lifestraw is already proven as an effective water filtering device. I am unsure how effective it is when utilized against the horrible waters of India, but the design could always be improved.

How would you describe the stage of development of your idea?

  • Conceptual Development

How big or scalable is the potential of your idea?

The lifestraw seems relatively cheap to make, so a device that could be made cheaper could be mass produced in great numbers.

Explain the sustainability aspect of your idea

This is a relatively inexpensive product to make, and the materials will be around for centuries.

What types of financing would be required for your idea to be successful?

Money would be needed to pay those who will conceptualize the lifestraw improvement. Once a concept is finalized, money will be needed for production costs. Getting the funds through a loan should not be too hard. Also if a product like this is marketed as a device that could help millions, there could be a charity campaign where you could send a lifestraw to someone in need for a small amount of money. Alot of people would be more than willing to take part.

If you are proposing to partner with other organizations, please explain their role and reason for partnership.

Someone can rarely do all the work themselves.

If you have been operating in India, what has been your focus?

I have not

Is your organization currently legally registered in India?

  • No

What states or districts will you target/are you targeting within India?

The ones who are most in need.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I like water, I like people. I like water in people. As scuba club president, I like people in water too. People are mostly water.
