Then I went to school.
The first election I missed because I was too slow requesting an absentee ballot. Just like I did for every paper, I put it off until the last minute. Around the second one I was thinking about becoming a RI resident, which would have made the process easy. But I decided I liked my Virginia ID. But the third election, I just didn’t care enough.
Uniform rules and regulation between states would help solve this problem. If it had been easy, I would have been more likely to take time out of my studies to do it. If there was a national ID with which I could have just walked into any voting station, and told them which state I wanted to vote in (with the ID containing the necessary information to confirm that I was eligible to vote where I requested) I would have voted ever single time.
Lazy College kid (LCK) is a pretty debilitation handicap sometimes.
