Here in Brazil, we have a electronic voting system, that make the process and the result's calculation really easy. The device also has a sound system and braille language (blind friendly). And now they are implementing biometrics identification.

I love the idea of using biometrics to identify voters and the ease and inclusivity of this method. This tackles the issue highlighted by Ginny here: http://www.openideo.com/open/voting/inspiration/stop-fraud.-make-sure-absentee-ballots-get-to-voters./ Maybe it would be possible to extend this to a service so that similar devices are taken to people who are unable to go to voting stations.
