With celebrities stemming from Detroit, children, young adults and parents can gain hope for the future as well as idolize role models who share the same home town and similar background. 

Films like 8 Mile feat Eminem (based in Detroit) would also show the community that there is hope to live the life you dream.

Xzibit has a renowned TV series “Pimp my Ride” he would be able to provide an opportunity to “Pimp my City”.
Tim Allen became well-known by the show “Home Improvement”, his entourage may be able to improve homes in Detroit.
Other celebrities such as singers and actors can also get involved with the community they have grown up in and create awareness.

Media can be one of the greatest tools for Detroit and other rundown cities. TV reality shows are enormously popular and heightens awareness of the general population.

Why not have a reality show evolving the community of Detroit hosted by one of the celebrities who had been brought up in the environment.

Collaboration with Media and other services would boost motivation and provide a platform for nation-wide awareness.
