NOLAbound Invites Visitors to Share Its Entrepreneurial and Cultural Story
By giving 25 selected visitors a unique opportunity to experience New Orleans, NOLAbound hopes to challenge misconceptions by inviting participants to evaluate and promote the city’s status as a center of business progress and thinking.
GOOD points us to another great city inspiration. Through a collaborative effort, a new program will offer 25 individuals broad networks from across the country to experience the Crescent City's progress for themselves through an all-expenses paid experience. As part of the
NOLAbound project, participants are expected to document, share and broadcast their experience in New Orleans to their social networks, potentially reaching thousands more with their stories. Further, there will be a documentary created afterward to showcase how great the city is to live, work and play.
In addition to receiving free airfare, ground transportation, meals, and housing, invitees will have access to several New Orleans Entrepreneur Week events and have the opportunity to meet with leaders the four entrepreneurial sectors the program is highlighting: arts, bioscience, technology and sustainability. The programming is also purposely flexible to encourage visitors to experience the unique neighborhoods, people, and culture of The Crescent City.
It sounds like to a great venture to participate in--or watch--as the city tells its story of being a cool place to start a business. The application period for 5-day March program
began on November 17 and continues December 16.
