Detroit's Eastern Market is a local food market that draws up to 40,000 visitors each Saturday. Locally grown fruits and veggies, baked goods, and local crafts are for sale at this vibrant market. There's music, smiling, laughing, and sharing.
I went to Detroit's Eastern Market for the first time this weekend. It was amazing to see the abundance of locally grown produce, flowers, and local crafts and tasty treats. There were people from all walks of life--old and young, native Detroiters, and visitors, and it was wonderful to see such a lively community. There was such a sense of positivity and happiness--I'm looking forward to going back!
Wow, Detroit has a local food market of 40,000 each Saturday! That's a real asset / point of pride for any city. In fact, just read that it's the largest historical public market district in the United States. Thanks for sharing this local insight Sara!
