Build a scalable community hub for enterprise and skills training. Mobile classrooms and scalable business kits link back to efficient center.  The concept could encourage shared resources among multiple sites and new ideas by youth and adults alike.

Programs, classes, and enterprise will be shaped by community members and protoyped in a flexible enterprise space. If successful, the programs could advance to mobile outreach, then brick and mortar facilities.

Think 826 Valencia with a little Nike GameChangers and Edible Schoolyard

Community space could also act as meeting and event space for earned operations income.

Will the community create urban agriculture, a print shop, cooking school, mobile tool-lending library, mobile sports fields, artist in residence?

I'm looking to comments and collaboration as I continue to build the idea.

What resources (money, time, people, technology, etc) will your concept need to be successful?

Small flexible space or sublease with street-front centralized in a neighborhood. Adjacent open space for agriculture or sports programs is ideal. Community design process and work days turning salvaged and donated materials into an identity-rich community space. Volunteer or work pledges from community members and some seed funding for initial 6-month operations. A destination for shared resources (City Bookmobile, existing Community Groups) and a launching point for new ventures.

What steps could you take to implement this idea today?

Gather precedents – successes and failures. Business plan for launch and scaling. Survey community groups for interest and leadership. Grant research. Artist and community vision for the space.

How can your idea be scaled so that it's implemented in cities around the world?

The framework, resources, and classes can be universal and new satellites can grow from a Business’ Cool template. By connecting multiple sites, skills training and resources can be shared regardless of distance.
