I found this series "Football Rebels" on Al Jazeera really inspiring. This one about Didier Drogba shows how using his fame as a tool for social change Drogba decided to act to save his country by appealing to politicians, warring factions and his own people for peace.

Oh, awesome. I think big stars, whether it be sports or other forms of entertainment, can really make a difference, especially if their performances unite nations. I wasn't aware of this series, but as a big football fan, especially of the esthetic and cultural side of it, I'm very happy you shared it!

On the football note and how it links to social change, it's also worth checking out The Forbidden Team - a documentary that portrays the political struggles of Tibet via football. A group of social entrepreneurs from a Danish management school KaosPilots decided to facilitate the first ever match of the Tibetan Football Team and bring them to Denmark to play against Greenland.
