What is the idea?

Lahore International Children’s Film Festival is the pioneer of children’s cinema in Pakistan. It aims to bring entertaining and inspiring films from all over the world to share with the children of Pakistan so that they may be exposed to global ideas and perspectives, be entertained and also develop their minds in the process.

How we do it?

We invite films from across the world, over 70 countries worldwide all made for children, about children and by children themselves with a special selection of films made by Pakistani children. The program is curated by a team of art educationists and industry film makers. The diverse programming including Animation, Short films, Fiction, feature, documentaries etc is then showcased at a 6 day film festival in 3 major cities.

Over 42,000 children and youth are exposed to entertaining and educational content through the festival each year. Through these films children are able to gain exposure to global ideas and connect with other children across borders through inspiring stories.
