In Ghana, dropout rates in refugee camps are high because parents cannot afford fees, classrooms are congested with student/class ratio as high as 130:1. There's also the problem of language barriers as most teachers are untrained volunteers. Shortage of instructional materials and poorly constructed school buildings are a disincentive for teachers and students as well.
