Help Habits Stick

For recycling to become second nature, we need to find creative ways to change our behaviour. How might we support new habits and make them stick?

For recycling to become second nature, we need to find creative ways to help make habits stick. In the Research phase we learnt that attaching new habits to old ones is a good start – and that the combination of education + social support +  convenience are key to successful lifestyle changes.

How might we support new habits and make them stick?
How might we utilise the power of education + social support + convenience when designing new solutions?

Favor packaging that can be rewashed and relabelled than those that need to be broken down and remoulded. Think of the old milk bottle! By standardising packaging types this will reduce the recycling burden making it easier for consumers and easier f

My Talkin'Bin is a smart connected recycling bin, which "talks" to you with different kinds of messages, each time a waste is thrown in it.

I've lived in almost a dozen different apartments in the past 7 years or so, and not a single one of them has offered recycling. Removing the barriers which prevent apartments from offering recycling would provide the opportunity for millions of rent

This idea is about creating a program to encourage reducing the waste produced from lunch boxes. By reducing the amount of waste from lunches we can significantly lower the total amount of waste.
