Why don't we try having less things that need to be recycled?

Instead of focusing on what needs to be recycled and how we can do it better, why don't we try to use innovation to create more biodegradable products and packaging to stop the problem at the source.

Explain your idea in one sentence

Instead of focusing on what needs to be recycled and how we can do it better, why don't we try to use innovation to create more biodegradable products and packaging to stop the problem at the source.

It is a great idea to keep our environment green. I like you said to "try to use innovation to create more biodegradable products and packaging to stop the problem at the source." I agree with you, and if we cut the beginning of the source, then it is very easy to keep it clean and to do the recycling. I think people need to focus on it.

I agree with your point "if we cut the beginning of the source, then it is very easy to keep it clean and to do the recycling." But it should be a big challenge for people.

Hi Michael, Liang and Xin: Completely agree with you guys,it's about cutting initial uses, I firmly believe it's largely to deal with our inherent practice and civic behavior. Sighting a common observation-in this part of the world, we hardly see people carrying cloth bags to market these days, since we know-the vendor will nicely wrap everything in poly bags, so lost the habit of carrying cloth bags like our grand parents used to do in past.

So as you all rightly mentioned, it's about "cut the beginning of the source" and to me it's about "bringing the culture" and requires intense promotional awareness campaigns. That's my view of course. Thanks a lot to all of you.

Hi Michael: Great concept, we all must try & make it a "culture". All the best.
