We believe that NIKE GRIND also has the DNA "contributing to the future of sports" by NIKE.

We think that it is important that the context of giving a good impact on sports is also included in the new product being produced.

For athletes, it is well known that good sleep affects daytime performance.

So, we created a concept of everyday goods that athletes who do hard training can maintain their bodies in their best condition even during sleep.

NIKE CUSTOM PILLOW proposes a pillow with the best shape and softness for each athlete 's physique by measuring in advance which part of the body the load is applied when the athlete goes to bed.

Based on the measured data, the athlete can select the NIKE GRIND material to put in the pillow cover.

In addition, by registering measured data through Nike Plus Membership, athletes can get pillow of the shape that is the most suitable for themselves at NIKE STORE anywhere in the world.

We confidence that this will help and support all athletes who has many away matches.

hola. We also proposed making pillows, mattresses and other soft furnishings from the grind materials... perhaps these entries could be combined under Our Workshop's method of testing in real life shack environment - where we need innovative solutions for sleep in small spaces... just like people in Japan do!

Great to hear from you Genki. This isn't a widely known fact here, but I have personally been to Japan a number of times, and I know and understand the small spaces that Japanese people are used to living in... and the onsen culture as a shared communal space and so on... So this is a link I would like to make between our cultures!! wonderful to hear from you!

PS mingei is something I love and traditional Japanese crafts could play very well into Our Workshop's philosophy and practice in the future - this is an area I would like to explore... cross-over culturally specific craft projects. So many crafts are dying out because of disinterested techno-obsessed youth culture.
