GasLimpo-CleanGas – carbon capture, storage and reuse

Greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, others) are captured, its molecules are broken by the GasLimpo-CleanGas technology to obtain pure carbon and hydrogen. Carbon is stored into products ( into raw materials or clothing, footwear accessories, specifically into the fibers, ink, dye, glue, tags, sole, insole, and others) and hydrogen may be used to produce energy. This is a completely clean and safe process for the use of carbon. It was tested in the textile sector into a range of raw materials and accessories.

Process stages:

  • CO2 or CH4 (taken from polluting sources, as sewage, landfills, pig farms…) degradation
  • Carbon and hydrogen or oxygen separation
  • Hydrogen energy production
  • Carbon separation
  • Carbon insert into textile or footwear raw materials and accessories
  • Carbon telemetry, tracking and monetization (insuring its source and insert)
  • Potential carbon credits generation

How specifically will these materials be incorporated into your solution?

During manufacturing, carbon will be impregnated into polymers’ cold mixture or into it’s melting (the powder is mixed within the raw material before being melted for injection or into the formation of the polymer itself). All the products made with this technical base may receive the carbon. For textiles, the process is similar.

All textile and footwear sector. The technology may also be used into other sectors, like automobiles, computers, and others.

How will you scale your idea? Please describe in detail your plan to scale your concept.

The company is scaling up from prototype to industrial scale hence we will be able to answer to market demand. We are investing into a new version of GasLimpo-CleanGas, updating the granted international patent, to fulfill market demand. The difficulties, which are not insurmountable, are operational because of the need to obtain gas emissions from assured anthropic sources. There will be no use of fossil gas for the process of carbon recovering.

How is your idea innovative?

The international patent assures the basic technology innovation as it recovers carbon from pollutant gases. The industrial process is completely safe, clean and does not produce any residues. The business model is also innovating as it allows for the tracking, telemetry and monetization of carbon and hydrogen taken from pollution, besides cutting the need for raw materials in the manufacturing process.

What inspired this idea?

The need to find a solution for greenhouse gases, specially CO2 and CH4, considering the emerging climate change scenarios. The only activity similar to Gaslimpo-CleanGas in the world is Carbon Capture and Storage, but is involves a range of risks and high energy costs.

Our company has 15 years of experience with a crew of doctors and PhDs of two universities searching for GHGs solutions.

The use of this concept by Nike will put GasLimpo-CleanGas on the international spotlight and will potentially quickly spread its use. Our main goal is to contribute to cutting GHG emissions as quickly as possible.
