Problematic
Advances in all areas of knowledge have increased the average and quality of life of the current society, many of the resources involved in maintaining our global quality of life are finite and certain regions of the world have greater benefits than others, in the current context the human being suffers from different global problems such as:
-Wars.
-Natural catastrophes.
-Pollution of the environment.
-Epidemics.
-Social insecurity.
-Poverty
These global problems are constant and the number of victims are increasing exponentially while the number of habitants in our planet increases, In most cases there is a common factor which we will take as a problem to solve in our idea:
"The sudden loss of homes"
Since 2003, more than 67 million people had to leave their homes due to some of the causes mentioned above, in more developed countries there are protocols and areas destined to serve as shelters in case of emergency (in many cases they are not enough), but in less developed countries there is no solution or plan to accommodate the victims of an emergency, so we focus on developing a product that can meet this need, a safe, livable, easy to transport, reusable and economical shelter.
In the market there are many shelter solutions for emergencies, most are focused on practicality and economy (tents and awnings). We believe that people who go through an emergency that forces them to leave their homes need a decent temporary space. A refuge that brings them:
-Thermal isolation
-Acoustic isolation
-Cleaning
-Privacy
We designed CAVE, a shelter that gives victims a space of privacy and tranquility, which allows them to overcome emergencies in the best conditions.
The walls are manufactured with recycled EVA by NIKE GRIND, they isolate temperature and acoustics, it is also designed in modules, which can be interconnected to adapt to each type of family or community. Because emergencies are unpredictable CAVE is designed so that each region has a batch of shelters ready for an emergency.
Foreword
In the history of man there are several technological leaps, they represent the foundations of our global society and all the technology that grows rapidly.
We do not have the data of when but it is known that one of the most important jumps occurs when the man stops being nomadic and becomes sedentary, when he manages to gather all the necessary elements to survive in a single geographical region, without the need to move constantly.
One of the factors that catalyzed this breakthrough was to start living in caverns, natural caves that are in the mountains, these gave to primitive man the necessary protection to avoid being cold and get sick in winters, not get wet in storms or be eaten by nocturnal predators.
When a man begins to inhabit caves, his quality of life increases considerably and the population begins to grow, which in turn forces him to become a social being, and through gestures and sounds the species begins to create a language to communicate ideas.
The main characteristics of a refuge are:
-Protection of natural elements.
-Protection of predators.
-Living temperature.
-Cleaning.
-Ability to store food or objects.
-Privacy.
