Arrecife is a modular divider screen ideal for use in collaborative work spaces, either for individual work or team work. Its main objective is to take a small part of the workspace and separate it by an acoustic and visual isolation.

There are two types of boards: One with electric inputs to connect digital devices and lighting, and another with space to place things such as books and backpacks.

As modular work dividers they take better advantage of space, which makes it possible to place more people in small places while improving comfort and productivity. It also can be configured and re-configured in multiple ways, as well as reduce the number of screens according to the user's need.

ARRECIFE the collaborative work spaces screen is build using Footwear Fiber "Fluff", Laminated PU Foam/Mixed Apparel Textil and Rubber Granulate.

Which Nike Grind materials will your idea utilize?

  • Rubber Granulate
  • Mixed Apparel Textile
  • Footwear Fiber "Fluff"

How specifically will these materials be incorporated into your solution?

Please include a visual (can be either 2D or 3D) representation/prototype of your concept. (required)

What is the current stage of development of your idea?

  • Research & Early Testing

Describe your target market. Who will benefit from your product?

Our target market is companies, educational institutions and coworking spaces that want to provide an ideal workstation to customers, employees or users, without using statics walls or cubicles that may can't offer the versatility of this screens.

How will you scale your idea? Please describe in detail your plan to scale your concept.

The biggest advantage of this product is that it is made of recycled materials, so showing this advantage to large companies and educational institutions that have environmental certifications or that worry about having sustainable work policies is a good entry to the market. Sales would be made through the Internet on a web page, there would be no physical store and manufacturing would be by order. "Personalization" is another way to gain customers, by allowing the customer to configure their product and select the color combination, this makes it more attractive. We could associate with a coworking company that has many locations and make a special product for them that provides unique characteristics and that is linked to its brand image.  We could also have a collection model that allows the panels to be returned in poor condition and repaired or reused some of their parts for new productions.

How is your idea innovative?

The product is innovative for the design itself, for the way it reuses the materials and for the multiple functionalities it provides that allow for a much more enriching experience. Being a modular product and being made with pre-existing recycled materials allows a better planning in the productive process what results in an easy assembly and an optimal stacking reducing transport costs and shipping.

Tell us about yourself and your team. What is your background and experience?

We are a team of industrial designers, we have worked in sustainability projects and product design.

In what city are you located?

Bogotá D.C.

In what country are you located?

Colombia

Please describe how becoming a Top Idea will support the growth of your concept.

Becoming a top idea will benefit the growth of the concept because through the refinement phase the product can be tested and will have a real development. Also making this process public, we can have different opinions and feedback from the community which will enrich and make the idea much better.

Great work guys.
the design is smooth, I loved it.
You can also try the soundproof material for the theaters, conference halls. it doesn't need to be portable. it can be fixed.
