Anti-Fatigue Pathway By The Roll

Workplaces should have an economical anti-fatigue product available that can be easily cut to the linear length required for hard surfaces.

Anti-fatigue mats are proven to be effective but are limited to segments of lengths to cover the treasured "cushion" zone to walk or stand on. These multiple mats become a trip hazard, not easy to sweep and cannot be wet mopped when more than one mat are utilized adjacent to each other.

The perfect material, should be flexible to lay flat and not curl, top coating seal for wet mopping, sweeping, can be cut with a razor or scissors and most of all, come on a narrow, 24-36 inch roll!

Which Nike Grind materials will your idea utilize?

  • Rubber Outsoles
  • Rubber Flashings
  • Rubber Granulate
  • EVA Foam Injection Scraps
  • EVA Foam Flashings
  • EVA Foam Sheets & Blocks
  • EVA Foam Components
  • Laminated EVA Foam
  • Laminated PU Foam

How specifically will these materials be incorporated into your solution?

These materials will be ground similar to your Nike Grind carpet padding but made to be walked on, without the carpet. It would be higher quality and have a non-slip contact surface (coating or laminate member). The bottom side surface should be made to prevent the pad from shifting on the floor, designed with a waffle grip pattern and the top side smooth enough to sweep debris when no pressure is on it. When a person is standing on it, pressure applied, the core would crush enough to create a slight divot to grip a shoe or bare foot even if the surface was wet. The challenge will be determining the composition of the surface of the product for wear factor.

Please include a visual (can be either 2D or 3D) representation/prototype of your concept. (required)

We have hardwood floors at home and one of our dogs is very nervous walking on smooth surfaces without traction. Our solution was to place multiple mats and carpet runners in the house and in the garage. We weren't able to find something that came in a roll, which what I'm suggesting here.
