The Peaceful Plank allows for people who like to workout at home the ability to do so, but with the ability to do it quietly and comfortably by using Nike Grind material.  Currently there are three types of workout mats:

Yoga:  Thin light, soft foam, meant for stretching and yoga positions.  Does not do well with hard impacts.  Can be rolled up and put away easily.

Weight lifting rubber pads:  Dense (slightly thicker than yoga mats) hard rubber, meant for weights to be dropped on.  Big square pieces, typically used in gyms

Acrobatic Pads:  Thick shock absorbing foam covered in nylon or other synthetic textile.  Great for aerobics.  Difficult to store as they are quite large.

My proposal is to redesign all three of these styles of work out mats with Nike Grind materials.  The main idea is to create three separate designs that accommodate each work style and that can be made to travel with and easily store away.  However, each plank be made with the intent to create a more quiet work out.

The inspiration came from myself working out in my apartment using a yoga mat and noticing how loud it gets when I do jumping jacks, running in place, etc..  I noticed other friends hated working out at home for the noise reason and not wanting to disturb their neighbors.

Thanks! It's in the beginning stages of design so I don't want to presume what the price would be. But I am trying to make it as affordable as possible.
