As a way to recycle, my idea is to use all GRIND materials to turn them into different elements that help us assemble, build and decorate NIKE stores around the world.

In this way will avoid using other natural or non-recyclable materials, to fulfill the same purpose.

These new GRIND materials can be used in the most creative ways inside the stores.

Which Nike Grind materials will your idea utilize?

  • Rubber Outsoles
  • Rubber Flashings
  • Rubber Granulate
  • EVA Foam Injection Scraps
  • EVA Foam Flashings
  • EVA Foam Sheets & Blocks
  • EVA Foam Components
  • Laminated EVA Foam
  • Laminated PU Foam
  • Mixed Apparel Textile
  • Mixed Footwear Textile
  • Footwear Fiber "Fluff"
  • Full Grain Leather Scraps
  • Split Leather Scraps Coated
  • Synthetic Leather

What is the current stage of development of your idea?

  • Research & Early Testing

Describe your target market. Who will benefit from your product?

This idea will benefit the company in costs because NIKE will generate its own construction materials. It will also benefit NIKE as a brand, by granting positive values. And above all, it will benefit the general public because these stores will become an example of the use of recycled material, in order to help care for the environment.

What inspired this idea?

The times we are living that deserve more social and environmental awareness on the part of everyone.

Martin Vigo Alfaro great to see your idea!

I did want to ensure you were aware that the goal of this challenge is not to source concepts that Nike would bring to market under their own brand. Rather, the goal of this Challenge is to support innovators in creating their own products and ventures using Nike Grind materials, but independent of Nike, with the potential for partnership. With this constraint in mind, how would you propose creating products for retail stores utilizing Nike Grind materials?
