In this day and age, everything is about monthly subscriptions. Our entertainment, shaving, shipping, and even food are examples of some of the monthly subscriptions many of us pay for. This idea is something fasts food restaurants should jump behind. Restaurants like McDonald's could have reusable cups that have a bar code that would scan at the register. A phone app would be connected to your own reusable cup, upon paying a monthly fee you would get unlimited drinks per month. Since drinks only cost McDonald's .16 cents to make, they would make profit if they only charged the customer five dollars per month. They could restrict it to one drink per day also.

How is your concept recoverable?

Many people shy from using the reusable cup system because it is not worth it to them. By implementing a system that allows people to have "unlimited" drinks, the general public are more likely to buy and use reusable cups. If more people were to use the reusable system, plastic and fiber cups would be replaced.

What regions do you plan to address with your solution (and how will you accomplish this)?

Any country with a fast food chain would work well with the monthly system. All a fast food chain would have to do is adapt the monthly system and the app. By doing this they could make even more profit on their soda sales. Out of the 195 countries in the world, 119 of them have a MacDonalds, so adapting this system could help more than half the world with the fiber and plastic cup waste.

Describe your target market. Who will benefit from your product?

The market for this idea is for major fast food chains around the world. Examples of these restaurants are, McDonalds, Starbucks, Subway, and many more. The general public would benefit from the monthly subscription as well. They would be able to use their own cup reusable cup for "unlimited" refills per month. Users of the service can access it by using the subscription app, but many of these chains already have their own standalone apps. So by implementing the subscription feature into the app, users would not have to be separated between two apps.

If our idea were to reach a Top Idea, we could start conducting research on how more likely people are to use reusable cups. With funds we could also start working on a prototype app for the subscription service.
