The seed cup , edible and non-edible recycled cups

Idea Summary

Hot cup with corrugated sheets and cold one without corrugation. Lid will also be highly recyclable. It will have seed in the bottom which can be used by just adding soil and turns into a plant.

Choices of cups and material selection increasing purpose of cup , it’s applicability and it’s importance. The cup no longer needs to be thrown away, it is made from about 80% recycled materials!

I am offering choices of cup to provide solutions on obal scale. It will have different pricing for different cups.

There are 4 options currently offered

1. Carry your own cup

2. Edible cups with edible straws ( biscuit cups)

3. Paper cup made from 80% recycling 

4. Cup made from coffee grounds and other residues with highly recycled content

The 3rd and 4 th with have a seed in the bottom, which can be chosen by the customer.

It can turn into a planter after it has been used for consumption.

Just pierce theough the layer where the seed is, and potting soil and you have your own herbs growing at your place

This solution addresses which of the following:

How is your concept recoverable?

It adds value of cup. Edible cups can be charged same as seedling cup. Even if the seed cup is thrown away, it will grow into a plant as it is fully biodegradable and has a seed. This will also help make consumers aware about the environment and help them be responsible. It is essentially made from recyclable materials as well, making it sustainable solution.

How have you incorporated additional sustainability attributes (beyond recoverability) into your solution?

It gives high recyclablity and in case pf coffee ground cup, it uses the waste residue itself generated in the cafe,. Cafe will house a small press to make coffee grounds into a cup. It will just need some additives to operate and consumes low space.

What regions do you plan to address with your solution (and how will you accomplish this)?

These can be accomodate globally, based on waste products available at that place. Wide variety and choices make it a versatile idea

The concept is really good! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!. And the good thing is that it’s economical and doesent cost you much. It’s made out of recyclable product and it’s engineered to sustain growth and it’s extremely eco friendly. And that way we will not be harming the nature in any way and wastage of materials is very much avoided. I am looking forward to use it in the near future. Engineers should thrive to come up with such innovative ness that is entirely nature friendly.. leave alone biotech based neogenic recombinators or BOWs to produce Meta humans or super humans. Let’s join hands to save Mother Earth. And this is also one amongst many of the innovative concepts to save Earth . :)
