Japanese knotweed is an invasive plant species that has a hollow stalk, once the stalk is dried it can be used as a straw.

The Japanese Knotweed is an invasive plant species that has a hollow stem. The knotweed will be harvested and dried so it will maintain its shape for a longer period of time. The straw will be heat treated to eradicate any bacteria. This a win-win solution for restaurants trying to go green and it will help the environment by getting rid of the weeds.
