Risosa Riekerandi is plant grown in all types of soil and in the tropical climate. The plant is useful to make drinking cups known as Ebisanda (Calabash), but now days the plant has died from the environment and most people doesn't value the use of the plant and it's uses. Our organisation has started to revive the plant by collecting seeds and give to farmers groups, we started early this year and the cups from the plant will replace the use of plastic coffee cups which causes environmental pollution to the planet. it is easy to grow and it's first growing plant, and it can be planted with other plants. The plant has a lot of benefits to people such as making Ebisanda (Calabash) bottles we call Ekerandi for storage of milk and they are used for the celebration ceremony of Hellos. We have started to collect seeds and give farmer groups, Youth groups to plant and we are going to form Co.Operative society that can manage all the process, from seed collection to marketing of Ebisanda (Calabash) and straws. Our organisation is inspired to create alternative that can address problems that affect the planet that caused by plastics waste.
