Babies represent a complete unknown for new parents. Anything and everything can seem to go wrong with an infant. A new parent will panic at anything slightly out of the norm. First, they will ask their spouse if that is normal. Their spouse usually has the same level of expertise (or lack thereof) as they do. If they don't know the answer, they may make an appointment with their doctor to ask a question that could have taken a doctor ten seconds to answer. I propose an easy solution: hospitals set up a FaceBook messaging service for new parents. Everyone would save time. Parents would get a quick response, and doctors would be able to see more patients.
