In no more than 3 sentences, please tell us who your idea is designed for and how it reimagines the new life experience.

Bring information about rights at labor. Our idea is to have a bus fully equipped with free beauty services for the wellbeing of pregnant women.

The idea is to have a bus that run to all public health care services in the city of Joinville, Santa Catarina State, Brazil, and talk to pregnant women about their rights.

To be attractive to women come to our bus, we’re going to approach with volunteers offering free beauty and care services. The environment is relaxing and comfortable for pregnants, our goal is to make them feel special. In this comfort zone, we can talk about rights, violence at labor and how women can be empowered.

After all this talk there is also a possibility for stay connected with social media. Pregnant women can reach us through Facebook or WhatsApp mobile groups (a common resource in Brazil).

At what stage is your idea?

  • Back of the Napkin Sketch: I came up with this concept and would love support in making it come to life!

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

Talk to pregnant women in front of public health care services in the city.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Some methodology with the research and interviews.

Tell us about your work experience:

We’re a multi-disciplinary group of young women from different background and experiences, and we’re post graduate students in Univille, a community university in Santa Catarina, Brazil. We're designers engaged in women's rights.

Hi! I like your idea about bringing the bus to cities but how would you help expecting mom's who do not live in cities?

Hello, Radha,
The idea to use a bus is to be able to reach as many women as possible. With the bus we can go to little towns and park in public squares and bring information anywhere.
