In no more than 3 sentences, please tell us who your idea is designed for and how it reimagines the new life experience.

BabyNoggin is an end-to-end child health & wellness platform: starting with screenings on behavioral issues, sleep, nutrition, next refer parents to specialists through telemedicine, then help care coordinating to local and state resources for long term intervention. Lastly, we leverage machine learning and AI on the behavioral data for predictive analytics. Providers can ge reimbursed $15-$20 using CPT code 96110 & 96161.

CDC reports that 1 out 4 children under age 5 have developmental or behavioral problems, resulting in 1 million kids entering school with undiagnosed disability every year. Early screening and intervention is key given the brain reaches 90% of adult size by age 3. BabyNoggin is a digital village that allows parents to track their kids’ milestones at home, their neonatologists, doulas, and pediatricians to get reimbursed from insurance, and the child to be connected to local resources and treatment when in need.

At what stage is your idea?

  • Full-scale roll-out: I have completed a pilot and analyzed the impact of that pilot on the users I am trying to reach with my idea. I am ready to expand the pilot significantly.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

our partners include children's hospital of LA, city of Pasadena, the US army, and other hosptials and pediatric clinics. On average, we can save 75% of screening time in the waiting room, increase parental understanding of baby's development, and increase parent-physician satisfaction.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

we are building our next version of platform and sourcing ideas and comments from users, payers, and innovators. We also love to partner with others to solve this huge problem.

Tell us about your work experience:

An Oxford-trained child neuro-psychologist who founded 3 startups and worked in the innovations centers and venture capital funds of America's 4th largest health insurance company and 3rd largest nonprofit hospital system.

Hi Jin Lee,

It is great to have you in the challenge.

Is this baby noggin - http://www.babynoggin.com/? If it is, would you consider including a link in your submission and maybe uploading an image of the app?

You should be able to use the Edit Contribution button on the top of your post and follow the instructions to add images from there.

From birth to one-year, what are the experiences of a new mom using the app?

You might want to consider including some newspaper articles in your idea submission:
