The Volunteer of the Year Award will go to a volunteer who has gone the ‘extra-mile’ to benefit the lives of older people.
We will look for evidence of the difference their volunteering has made and the personal qualities they have demonstrated through their volunteering.
The Services for Older People Award is for groups and organisations which have given older people 'that little bit of help' they need to continue to enjoy independence and a high quality of life in their own homes and communities.
Services can be delivered by public, private or third/voluntary sector organisations. We're particularly interested in those which have prevented or alleviated isolation among older people, and will be looking for examples of creativity and innovation as well as evidence that the service has made a difference.
