A home : starting up a new life

Old people don't need old age homes. A website or any other platform to link people with common interest to pursue happy living but with different needs to promote collaborative supportive living.

Old people don't need old age homes.

In Indian context I am not sure how things move in other country. Elderly people sacrifice their present to give better future to their children. They don't care about any financial security or insurances. Their happiness lies with their grown up children whose happiness may not lie with their parents. Being a youngster I know at this age everyone want to explore the new world, build their care and work hard for better future but for many of us it may not be possible to satisfy the needs of parents or can't find a place for their parents in that glorious future.

Common scenarios.

1. Parents may not like to leave their country at elderly age and children may not afford to loose the opportunity they may be getting outside their country. In this scenario of conflict parents are forced to live a lonely life.

2. Children may move away after getting married. If elderly people only have girl child then they are helpless.

A website or any other platform to link people with common interest of happy living but different requirements to promote collaborative living. There may be an elderly person with a home with no moral, financial or family support and there may an individual having some money and looking for new home and new friend.

to link people with same background and interest. how if two retired military people get a chance to discuss what they have achieved and how furious their wars were!

Interesting thoughts Vikas – this sounds like the seed of a great idea. We hope to hear more developments on this from you in the upcoming Ideas phase which launches tomorrow.
