A caregiver Nokia application

How often happens that we forget to take our prescribed medication or we forget what exactly the doctor told how to take the medication? Medica, the medication reminder application from Nokia helps people store multimedia prescriptions with multiple medications, record doctor ’s voice instructions, set medication timetables, adjust alarm tones, voices and repetitoins.

This is great for mom-to-bes/moms to be reminded of certain check-ups, routines that they need to follow. The capabilty of the application to record doctor's voice messages with instructions, the capability of seeing prescriptions in images, instead of text and numbers addresses the illiteracy problem of many women in the low-income countries.

I think this idea is great, but we need to know: do the people we are trying to help actually have access to doctors for regular check ups? If not then we'd need to adapt the intervention to the context.

In my 'inspirations' I've suggested that we specifically target the actual childbirth for maternal mortality (the breif).

Any idea about how you might use the ideas from this into a more immediate solution.
