Restaurants leading the way

In Australia we've seen 3 amazing restaurant projects by Joost Bakker + leading chefs in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The Greenhouse by Joost is a temporary (unfortunately) restaurant that produces some of its own food on site and only local produce.

In Australia we've seen 3 amazing restaurant projects by Joost Bakker + leading chefs in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The Greenhouse by Joost is a temporary restaurant that produces some of its own food on site and only local produce.



While they are temporary, these installation restaurants are about raising awareness of food production. They show how we can use simple measures, such as growing our own vegetables and herbs, combined with a commitment to local foods to create a deeper connection between food and locality.



Although the idea of growing all our food on our rooftops is not always practical, we should all be more connected with the stories of our foods.
