Why do you want to be OpenIDEO's Visual and User Experience Designer?

Over the past 8 month's I've been involved with OpenIDEO as an "Ideator" and "Prototyper". Each experience has been enriching to tackle today's critical issues and use the OpenIDEO community to push ideas further. Being able to contribute directly to OpenIDEO excites me a designer, after having been on both sides of challenges I feel I have a lot to offer the platform.

How many years of experience do you have?

  • Between 3 - 5 years of experience

How did you hear about this challenge?

A friend told me about it.

What did you learn when developing the deliverables in response to the design brief?

The best ideas don't always come from the best designers.

I learned that in order to get people from around the world involved in a challenge. That you need to break down some of the barriers and stigmas that people carry about themselves: "I'm not creative" "I'm not a designer"

By creating a system that allows for people to easily and quickly send out an idea. This can help build creative confidence and engage people who might not have considered contributing in the first place.
