You've got message inspired by many sources—Miranda July and Somebody App; two old movies: You've got mail, Wings of Desire; also my own MFA thesis.

The idea is simple, through OpenIdeo platform, our thoughts travel. I have never been to your place, but I know you are there. I heard you, and your life. Keep it simple, keep it human.

I'm a design student in San Francisco. All I want for my life is working in a creative team. Besides that, I like Amtrak road trip and talking to strangers; watching movies and reading novels; strolling around and taking photos

Why do you want to be OpenIDEO's Visual and User Experience Designer?

I went to a design school that heavily influenced by IDEO's design thinking. And OpenIdeo provide a larger platform, its appeal is relevant, is humane, and is timing,
I am passionated on building platforms that connect people with people/people with places. My MFA Thesis (www.commu.today) is about building connections between urban commuters, and with their commute surroundings.

How many years of experience do you have?

  • Less than 3 years of experience

How did you hear about this challenge?

I was looking for job positions at The Design Kids

What did you learn when developing the deliverables in response to the design brief?

I only got 27 hours when I first saw this internship challenge.
-I first learned how to rearranged my schedule to make time to this opportunity.
-From the design brief, I got a basic understand on how a new app, or idea usually reach its audience, and the process to educate and introduce audience to the new idea.
-How to make my idea clear and straightforward. Keep it simply when there was limited time
-Inspired by my one of my favorite artist Miranda July, and her Somebody App.
